After a long, 4-day Memorial Day Weekend, NBA/PTECH students came back ready for a full day event. Our Festival started at 8:30am and ended at 2:00pm. The incoming 2019 Freshmen class attended, along with Career Coaches and students’ family members. If it wasn’t for the never ending rain that day, a LifeNet helicopter would’ve landed on the Franklin Academy football field. Even after having to move everything inside because of the weather, we had a great time. Our full day event included:
- Border Patrol Explorers Presentation by Sgt. Charlie Toledo
- EMS and Emergency Department Simulations led by Jerry Dumas, Alice Hyde Medical Center and Rob Demarse, Franklin County Office of Emergency Services
- BBQ Lunch (special thank you to Mr. Pierece and Mr. Hudak for grilling in the rain and to Hosler’s Family Restaurant for contributing food for this event)
- Health & Wellness Walk (projects done by students on health and disease) and Yoga provided by Cheley Frazier

Mr. Tim Seymour, NBA/PTECH Principal, welcoming everyone.
